ILSI Argentina has seven active scientific committess.

Water
Coordinated by Dr Juan Carlos Lopez Musi, this ILSI Argentina committee examines all aspects of science related to water contamination and its impact on human and environmental health.  For more information:

Functional Foods
The Functional Foods committee works to improve harmonization of the scientific criteria used to define functional foods and their regulation.  This committee is coordinated by Ing. Ricard Weill.  For more information: 

Environmental Health
ILSI Argentina’s Environmental Health Committee explores issues related to the overlap of environmental and human health.   One of its current areas of focus is on packaging.  The committee will examine international practices guiding reclamation, recycling, and disposal of packaging materials to see how they may be applied at the local and regional level.  The committee is coordinated by Ing. Risk Assessment and Food Safety
Coordinated by Dr Fernando Cardini, the Risk Assessment and Food Safety Committee helps to improve the scientific criteria used to evaluate and ensure the toxicological and microbiological safety of the food supply.  For more information: 

Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity
Dr Irina Kovalskys coordinates the Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity committee, which takes an interdisciplinary approach in its work to prevent childhood obesity and illness later in life.  For more information:

Biotechnology
Dr Clara Rubinstein coordinates the Biotechnology Committee, which explores the use of biotechnology in food manufacturing and crop production.  For more information:

Science Communication
The Science Communication Committee helps disseminate the science generated by each of ILSI Argentina’s technical committees, providing ILSI members and people in diverse health professional communities with up-to-date, applicable scientific information.  This committee is coordinated by María Paz Amigo.  For more information:
