IFBiC Delivers Science for Risk/Benefit Evaluation
IFBiC was established in 1997 to support the development and harmonization of science-based regulations around the world for biotechnology-derived food products and to disseminate science-based information regarding the safety assessment of these products.

IFBiC's role is to generate and deliver up-to-date scientific information and to provide technical training in risk assessment when requested.  IFBiC hopes the best science available is used to make important safety, risk assessment, and other regulatory decisions.

However, IFBiC does not make policy recommendations and does not lobby for specific regulatory outcomes.
