This book is part of the series "Monographs on Pathology of Laboratory Animals," sponsored by the ILSI Research Foundation between 1985 and 1998. The series was intended for pathologists, toxicologists, and other interested in evaluating and harmonizing toxicological testing. Its goal was to provide useful information to pathologists involved in studies of foods, drugs, chemicals, and other substances found in the environment.
