European Food Science Day
Bringing the results back to consumers
CommNet, a Network of EC-funded project
Communication Managers founded to advance communication and dissemination effectiveness, is holding a full day event in Brussels to engage with key stakeholders in political and policy circles and with the media.
The purpose? To present to these key stakeholder groups not only the growing importance of EC funded research into matters relating to food quality, safety and health but to share key results and activities from a number of projects, including EURRECA, coordinated by ILSI Europe. As well as presenting specific project information, CommNet will press home the need for maintaining investment in food research as it relates to health, risk and quality by demonstrating positive outcomes and their relevance to consumers.
An Open Forum runs through the morning with formal presentations and short workshops at the Hotel Renaissance with a Lunch debate in the European Parliament, hosted by MEP Lena Ek which will be transmitted to the Open Forum venue with a live Q&A session. A Reception for all rounds off the day’s events.
The following projects will be represented at the European Food Science Day:
CASCADE
CHILL-ON
EARNEST
EURRECA
EPIZONE
