ILSI Europe General Assembly
Brussels, Belgium 3/13/2008 - 3/14/2008

The next General Assembly will be held on 13-14 March 2008 in the Hotel Bloom, Brussels. The theme of the meeting is “To eat or not to eat: benefits and risks to health”. Participants include representatives of the member companies, as well as key academic scientific advisors and representatives of international organisations.

Travel grants for graduate students and early postdocs from CEE, SEE and Baltic countries*

ILSI Europe offered 10 travel grants of 400 EUR each to enable scientists from CEE, SEE and Baltic countries* to attend the scientific programme of the ILSI Europe General Assembly (accomodation costs covered by ILSI Europe).

The objective was to introduce scientists to international collaborative research opportunities and networking with fellow scientists abroad, furthering their research and European perspective. The awards were available in any scientific discipline relating to the work of ILSI Europe in food safety and nutrition.

* Applicants should be resident of one of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey.
