Hosted by ILSI Korea, the open forum gave participants the opportunity to review the safety assessment of foods and feed derived from biotechnology, and to discuss socioeconomic impacts of biotechnology.
The Open Forum initiated a series of social discussion on the issue of biotechnology in Korea A summary of the event was published as a special edition of the journal Food Science and Industry (Volume 41, Number 2, 2008), which is published by the Korean Society of Food Science and Technology and has a wide spectrum of readers from government, academia, and industry. |
