The 2004 Symposium and Workshop on Biotechnology-Derived Nutritious Foods provided an opportunity for more than 45 scientists from Asia and the United States to discuss the issues and challenges of modern biotechnology in improving the nutritional status of populations in Asia. It featured expert speakers and presentations discussing biotechnology and nutrition issues as they relate to Asia. This report includes an executive summary detailing the speakers, summaries of each presentation, as well as abstracts for the papers discussed and a list of participants.
