The International Vitamin A Consultative Group guides international activities for reducing vitamin A deficiency in the world. Their 2003 meeting featured expert speakers and presentations discussing new developments and a synthesis of existing knowledge in the science, policy, implementation, and assessment of vitamin A interventions. Other topics covered addressed the global and regional status of vitamin A and supplementation programs. This report includes an agenda detailing the presentations with summaries of each, as well as a list of references and abstracts for the papers discussed.
