Codex Standards have been used as reference and basis for a number of regulations in Indonesia, including Codex Standards on Foods Intended for Infants and Young Children. However, the understanding and interpretation of these standards sometimes vary between individuals and institutions. Thus, it is important to have a common understanding and interpretation of Codex Standards, the development process and scientific criteria behind the Standards and Guidelines among all stakeholders. This will facilitate the appropriate adoption and implementation of such Standards in the country.
Organized by ILSI SEA Region and IDAI, the seminar and roundtable discussion will provide overview and development of Codex Standards on Foods Intended for Infants and Young Children as well as the understanding and interpretation for adoption into National Standards and Regulations.
Date and Time: April 28, 2010 Venue: Jakarta, Indonesia Organizer: ILSI SEA Region / Indonesia Country Committee Co-organizer: Indonesian Pediatric Society (IDAI)
